Sachini Ayendra Stanley

Sachini comes from the beautiful city of Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka, where she studied at the Hillwood College, Kandy, and passed her O and A level exams. Whilst at school she was a member of the Interact Drama Club, Vice President of the English Literary Association, President of the Young Writers Club and sang in the choir.






She took great interest in acting while in school and moved to the capital Colombo soon after she completed her education.She was first started appearing on TV at the age of 17 for numerous TV commercials.

She became Miss.Sri Lanka in year 2003 and represented Sri Lanka at the ‘Miss. World 2003' pageant in China.

Sachini's first film was ‘adaraneeya wassanaya' she won her first award for ‘best supporting actress'at ‘Signis sri lanka film awards' that year and was also nominated at presidential and sarasaviya film festivals. Her second film ‘Sankara' by Prasanna Jayakody was one of her best performances which won many international awards including ‘silver pyramid' award at the' Cairo international film festival' and ‘Best Asian film' at the ‘Kerala international film festival'.Sachini has acted many characters since then and she's now one of the leading actresses in Sri Lanka.
